Stowe Mission is in great need of help with:

 Soup Kitchen Help
We could use some extra help with “table wiping” in the Soup Kitchen. It may sound like a small job, but it is an important step as we try to keep things running smoothly during the busy lunch rush! You would only need to be here from about 10:45-12:30 and come as little as once a month! Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday have the greatest need.

Security in the Soup Kitchen
We are looking for men to help out during lunch to act as a security person. It doesn’t need to be anything official, we’ve just noticed that things run more smoothly in the Soup Kitchen when there is a man present in the room. You can volunteer as little as one day a month or less!

Dental Clinic Backup
We need a backup person to sit in the Dental Clinic lobby with the patients on Monday (and some Thursday) nights to prepare/finalize paperwork, keep track of patients, etc.  We currently have a full-time volunteer that helps with this, but we need a fill-in every few months if we ever let him go on vacation  

Cleaning
The front offices should be cleaned every other week and the Stowe Mission areas need to be cleaned once a week. Evenings and weekends are best.

Building Maintenance
We seem to have a lot of small, routine tasks that need to be taken care of from time to time: changing of light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, etc. You can help weekly, bi-weekly, or as needed!

Grounds Maintenance
During the spring, summer, and fall we need help tending to the flowers and weeds, etc. This can be done on an as needed basis.

We are always in need of food for the Food Pantry!

Non-perishable items are best!

 If everyone puts in a little, we can achieve a lot!
